If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

13-12-2022 Bertha is a darling girl who has come to us from a breeder.  She so wants to trust us but scared of the consquences if she dares to be brave enough to approach.  This dainty little girl will definately need another very kind but confident dog of a similar size in her new home to learn from. She will watch them and then start to copy what they do which will help her with things like house training and lead walking.  These are things which may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be a scary as the house at first so her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn and be sure she is comfortable walking on a harness and lead in the garden before taking her for a walk in the outside world.

09-01-23 UPDATE
Bertha is such a tiny little timid girl, though she is getting used to me she will try her hardest to hide from me while I try and take her outside for a run.
Once she’s out she loves it though, especially with her kennel friends. I think eventually she will make a lovey little cuddle bug once she realised that nothing bad will ever happen to her again.
With some time and patience she will be wonderful and I hope her people find her very soon so she can start on her new life

23-01-2023 UPDATE

Bertha has been in foster for just a week . She arrived very scared, hiding behind her friend Beth. She has had a lovely bath and her confidence is slowly growing. She now spends time exploring home life alongside her foster sisters. She will need a calm adult only home with a kind dog or two.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
