If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

15-12-2022 Tally is a nervous girl who has come to us from a breeder to find a loving home. She wants to be friends and will approach us when she is with her kennel friends but not quite as brave on her own. Once she knows you're going to be kind Tally enjoys a fuss and starts to relax.  We are looking for a home with adopters who have the understanding about the care her coat will need and who take her to the groomers regularly.  She will need a  home where there is at least one other dog who is happy to welcome Tally into their home.  This will help her confidence with people and she will watch them and start to copy what they do and which will help her learn new skills like house training and lead walking. These are things which may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be a scary as the house at first so her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn and be sure she is comfortable walking on a harness and lead in the garden before taking her for a walk in the outside world. Tally is looking for a home without cats or small furries as she shows interest in them. She will try to climb out of the play yard if she sees a cat so she will need a very secure garden with tall, unclimbable fencing. Tally has a passport.

23-01-23 UPDATE
Tally Has been with us in foster for a week and we have been pleasantly surprised with how well she is fitting into family life. She loves to be with me and initially was slightly worried if I had to pop out, just a bit restless, but as her bond has grown with our dog, she settles much better. Tally has not been left alone yet. Tally is very loving and gentle and responds very well to praise. Tally enjoys spending time in the garden and loves playing with our resident dog.
She loves to chew but has been easily redirected to natural chews, she now seeks those out instead of my slippers! Progress is being made with toilet training and Tally has so far been clean overnight from day one.  She walks well on a lead in the garden. Now that she is getting used to us, we will introduce her to the outside world. Tally will come when I call her in the garden and house. I am also starting to introduce her to grooming. She is very easy to handle and will let me clean her ears, and paws and put on her harness. Tally has been fine with my 9yr old daughter and will go to her for a gentle stroke.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
