DINKIE WOULD LOVE A HOME WITH DANCER AND THERE DOESN'T NEED TO BE A RESIDENT DOG IF THIS HAPPENS

16-12-22 Dinke is has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She is a beautiful standard poodle cross and will need regular trips to the groomer to keep her coats in a comfortable condition. Dinkie is  very nervous around people and at the moment will back away when approached but is kind and  gentle and loves other dogs very much especially her friend Dancer and we would love them to be homed together. If this was the case there would not need to be another dog in the home but if  not homed together Dinkie will need at least one kind resident dog would will be happy to be her best friend and show her all about home life. We will start to teach her to walk on a harness and lead but she will need to learn about house training and given time to get used to the sights and sounds of home.  Dinkie has a Grade 4 heart murmur. She doesnt require any medication for this but it is something her new adopters and their vet will need to monitor. Dinkie has a passport.

03-01-23 UPDATE

From when we met her we knew Dinke needed time to see she could trust us, we sat in the kennel for a while to allow her to get used to us and took it slow. When we did try to approach her she ran away at first but after some time she allowed us to stroke her and give her fuss - this is when she was wagging her tail, and it was a special moment to see. In a calm and quiet home environment with another kind confident and gentle dog there will be a lot less to overwhelm her, we believe she needs a forever home that will be patient and go slow with her, and given how nervous she is, she will definitely need a resident dog to learn about everything in a home including trusting her new family.

17-03-23 UPDATE
Dinky and Dancer, what a duo!!! This pair absolutely love each other. They play constantly, and snuggle together in bed, looking for reassurance in each other when they aren't sure.

Dancer is definitely more confident than Dinky but Dinky is not far behind, as Dinky copies what Dancer does!

We would absolutely love to see these 2 go home together! If homed together they could go with a resident dog or without.
If homed individually then they would definitely need resident dogs to help them along.

Dinkie and dancer are just the funniest, most loveable pair you could meet. They walk on leads, share everything with one another and love to have zoomies in the sandschool. I really hope we can home them together, but if they did go separately, they would need at least one very kind and playful dog in their new home. Just look at them gooo!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
