16-12-22 Deuce is a gorgeous standard (22.3kg) poodle who has come from his breeder to find a loving home. This fellow is scared at the moment and is unsure of being around people, so he will hide away and stick to his canine friends instead as he trusts them much more. When he thinks we arent looking he will even play with them and we smile at the glimpose of his true personality. He is going to be quite the glamourous boy with regular brushing and trips to the groomer. He will need a kind resident dog in his new home to help him adjust to home life as he has never lived indoors before. He will need to learn all about house training, walking on a lead and other such home skills. Deuce has much to learn and will take lots of time and patience. Duece has not had the opportunity to stretch his legs and exersize before, he has very poor muscle tone in his back legs due to this and walks with an odd gait. We are hoping with gentle exersize his muscles willl build up but we can't guarantee there isn't something wrong with his hips also. For this reason he is by donation. He needs a calm, quiet home with someone who understands his breed and help him relax and begin to love his new life. In time he will shine.  He has a passport

16-01-23 UPDATE

Deuce has settled into family life very well. He gets on with all the dogs, cats and even livestock. He likes and needs the company of other dogs. Big or small, male or female. He is house trained, sleeps in a crate and walks nicely on the lead. He is still shy and needs time to come out of his shell. He will make a lovely loyal companion. He is a quiet and easy boy to have around Don’t miss out on this super chap.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
