16-12-22 Esta is a worried girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. Despite her obvious fears she is easy to handle which shows just how sweet and gentle she is. She can be found tightly curled up to one of the dogs in the back of her kennel, hiding away from the world. She will need an adopter who is experienced with scared dogs and is able to guide her gently forwards in a calm home without children as she would find them too much to cope with at the moment. She will need at least one other dog in her new home to help her learn all about home life and let her copy new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. In time, she will begin to relax and adjust to a whole new way of life and that is the best feeling in the world.

20-01-23 UPDATE
I’ve been working with this beautiful lady since she arrived and I’m falling more and more in love with her each day. She’s gained a lot of confidence since she first arrived and it’s now rare that you’ll see her without a waggy tail. She is still cautious of human touch, but this is something I’m working with her on and she has made improvements. When I’m sat in her kennel, she will approach me and give me a little sniff, and sometimes a kiss on my hands if they smell like food haha! This week she’s also started chasing a ball when I throw it in the big play yard which has been absolutely lovely to watch. She doesn’t bring it back (because I don’t think she knows she’s supposed to), but I think she will in time.
During the day, the majority of the time you’ll find her cuddled up in the same bed as her 2 kennel friends. She is definitely reliant on them and she gets her confidence from them, so she will still need to be homed with at least 1 resident dog to guide her. She’s never been in a home before so everything will be brand new for her, but as long as her new humans show her nothing but patience and kindness, I think she’ll do ok. She’s just a quiet and shy lady who is finally starting to realise that the world isn’t as bad as she thinks it is, and that it’s okay to be happy. I really, really love her and I can’t wait to find her the perfect forever home .. I just hope she doesn’t have too wait long!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
