If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

21-12-2022 Reem is a beautiful but scared girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She is a sweetheart but too worried to approach us but loves her kennel friends and when we go to see her she tries to avoid us by cuddling up and hiding behind them.  She will need a home where there is at least one other dog to support her and help her confidence with people.  They must be happy to share their beds with her if she wants to. Reem has never lived in a home before so this will be quite scary at first as she learns about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. These are things which may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be a scary as the house at first so her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn and be sure she is comfortable walking on a harness and lead in the garden before taking her for a walk in the outside world.  In time Reem will learn there's nothing to fear and start to enjoy being someones special girl

Reem is a beautiful but scared girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. When she arrived with us she wouldn’t come near us and would hide behind her kennel buddies, she is now making steps towards kissing hands, and isn’t relying so much on her kennel buddies, she will even stand closest out all her buddies. She is finding courage more and more everyday. Within the next week I wouldn’t be surprised if she starts allowing a little tickle on her back. With the comfort she still finds with her kennel buddies, Reem will need a home where there is at least one other dog to support her, and help her confidence with people.  They must be happy to share their beds with her if she wants to. Reem has never lived in a home before so this will be quite scary at first, as she learns about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. 29-03-23 UPDATE
I’ve been working with Reem for only a couple of weeks now but I’m very quickly falling in love with her. She got moved to my section because she was still struggling with being picked up and handled and would snap out of fear. The whole time she’s been with me I’ve picked her up multiple times and she’s been fine, but her future adopters need to be aware of how scared she can get when she’s out of her comfort zone. With a lot of love and patience, I am confident that she will conquer her fears, but it may take a little while. She really just needs adopters who will give their all to her, and not give up on her no matter what.
Picking up and handling aside, Reem’s confidence has definitely improved a lot since she first arrived and she really is getting better every day. She gets very excited to see me in the mornings and greets me with the waggiest tail whilst giving me lots of little kisses. She’s a very sweet girl and I can tell she’s trying her absolute hardest to be brave, she just needs a little more time and TLC to get her there. In the right home, I really do think she’ll flourish and become the most wonderful companion .. it just can’t be rushed.
I hope this little love gets given a chance soon. She REALLY deserves it, and she needs it.

Reem is such a sweet girl. She’s still very nervous, but has made progress. Reem relies on her kennel mates and will need to be homeD with another dog, she’ll need an experienced owner that can bring her to her full potential and give her the home she desperately needs and deserves.
Once she gets to know you, Reem is such a lovely girl, with so much to offer. She loves playing in the yard with her kennel mates and will make an amazing companion for an owner and their dog.

You know that feeling you get when you’re so insanely proud of your rescue dog you could cry? Today I had one of those days! Reem has now been with us since December last year and is classed as a “staff only” dog here at the rescue due to her trust issues with being handled. With some trial and error, I have noticed that she’s a lot worse with men and definitely trusts me way more. I’ve been working with her for the past 2 months or so and even though I’ve not had any issues with her, I am always still very careful with her and I try not to push her out of her comfort zone …. BUT, she desperately needed a haircut. I was thinking maybe I could take her in the vets and give her some sedation and shave her that way, but she did let me trim her face and shave her back area last week with no problems, so I thought I’d give it a go without anything. I wasn’t sure how it would go, but she exceeded any expectation I could have possibly had. She let me shave her entire body, legs and head without any fuss whatsoever and it was over in no time because of how good she was. The whole groom she just kept looking at me to check in with me, and I just reassured her that everything was ok .. and I genuinely think she knew that. I am SUCH a proud mummy!!! P.s I know it’s not the best hair cut in the world, but I wanted to keep some of her hair so she wasn’t completely bald. She was very matted so I know she feels 10 times better now, and that’s all that matters .. right!?

04-05-23 UPDATE

Reem has settled well into foster with us . She has been toileting outside, eats and sleeps all night, sharing beds with my dogs.Confident around humans, will give finger licks but is a little unsure of touch as yet. Will need a home with another dog for company and kind humans.

26-05-23 UPDATE
Reem is a delight to foster. A very sassy, inquisitive little dog who follows me everywhere and watches everything I do. She is clean in the house, sleeps all night cuddled up to my dogs in their bed at the side of my bed and takes treats from my hand. She is unsure of human touch just yet so hasn’t tried lead walking but she watches intently as her foster sisters get ready for their walks so hopefully she have the confidence to come with us soon. Reem will need another dog for company in her forever home and kind patient adopters who will let her develop at her own pace.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
