If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

22-12-2022 Quee is a darling girl who has come to us from a breeder.   She is the smallest and most scared girl in her kennel and hides behind her kennel friends when people approach as the move has been a huge adjustment for her.  Despite her fear Quee allows us to handle her without a fuss and in a home where there is at least one other dog of a similar size to be her friend and who will allow her to cuddle up with them for comfort and support if she wants to, she will start to realise there is nothing to fear.  Quee will watch what they do and then start to copy them which will help her with house training and lead walking etc. These are things which may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be a scary as the house at first so her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn and be sure she is comfortable walking on a harness and lead in the garden before taking her for a walk in quiet places in the outside world. Quee has a Grade 1-2 heart murmur, she doesn't require any medication for this but it is something her adopters and their vet will need to monitor.

16-01-23 UPDATE
Quee has been here a week and what a super little dog she is .She goes out for a toilet with the other dogs and accidents are rare. She is happy to sit on your lap , and runs in and out of door without a fuss . She tries to get the other dogs to play but they are older so she resorts to jumping around them , as though she is saying "hey look at me im free and ready for fun!" ..this is one very special girl.

31-01-23 UPDATE
Queenie as shes known here is doing very well,  her bouncy ways would suit a lively dog her age or younger as she has lots of energy . She can't walk on a lead yet but now the ice is gone its something new to channel her energy into learning.  She has a small dislike of men but likes women and is quite quick to learn things.  Queenie is one smart cookie!

07-02-2023 UPDATE
Queen is a clever dog as she has quickly learnt to sit for treats, and although lead training is slow she's a lively girl and will really love walks once were over this hurdle. Queen would be better in a home without men.

27-03-23 UPDATE
Queenie as shes called here, is doing very well, shes doing a walk the short distance to a semi wild area  that gives her lots to sniff. When we see people, dogs or cars she sits and watches,  while I give lots of praise. She has met  several men, woman and teens  with no reaction, she ignores them infact.  She has a big dislike of the man here, but I haven’t seen a negative reaction to anyone else.
Queenie is a very intelligent  dog,  who obeys small commands ,  such as stay, sit, leave  and let me take your harness off.  I think she would suit an owner that likes long walks .

19-04-23 UPDATE

Quee is progressing well, she goes for a walk down a quiet lane, anything shes not sure of she will sit and watch or listen, till she feels happy to walk on.
She has become quite  fond of  me,, so her new owner will need to show her attention  and time  for when your her special person she looks to you for reassurance.
Im often calling her and when I look behind me shes standing there.

19-05-23 UPDATE
Queen is doing very well, going on walks is still a work in progress for her although some days better than others but she definately enjoys the country ones better than walking through a very quiet estate. Going back to her first entry on site she was described as the most frightened dog in the kennels, well shes climbed a mountain confidence wise....this is a very special dog that becomes attached to her person , can you be her forever person?

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
