11-02-23 This lovely little girl is Kucumber and she's come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a sweet girl who will happily come up to you for a gentle fuss when she is around her kennel friends. When she's away from her friends she is much more worried and shut down and so for this reason she will need at least one other confident dog in her new home to be her friend. Kucumber has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in to her new life and learns new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. With time and love we don't think it will take her too long to blossom into the most wonderful girl.

03-03-23 UPDATE
Kucumber (now Lacey) has settled in really quickly into her foster home, since arriving last week. She is making great progress with house-training and has been clean for the past 3 days. She is very friendly and happy to meet new people, approaching them with a waggly tail, although she can be a little nervous if you walk towards her quickly. She loves to cuddle up with our other dogs and myself on the sofa, and is comfortable around our cat. Lacey does not like to be alone and needs the company of people or another dog at all times. She sleeps well downstairs and is quiet during the night. Lacey is a delightful little dog and will make a lovely companion.

16-03-2023 UPDATE

Kucumber (Lacey) is doing really well in here in her foster home. She is now housetrained and gaining confidence every day. She would initially freeze when we put a harness and lead on her but will now happily walk around the park on a loose lead. She loves cuddles and enjoys meeting new people but she is more reserved with dogs she doesn't know. Lacey is still nervous travelling in a car but we are continuing to work on this. She is happy to be left alone for short periods of time. Lacey really is a sweet and gentle dog.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
