19-02-2023 What very special lady Greta is. Greta is a dog to touch your heart and she will absolutely need a home where there is another dog as lovely as she is to help her confidence. She looks to them for reassurance and this will help her with house training and help improve her lead walking. I feel once she bonds with her adopters she will become a really devoted friend and will really blossom. So we are looking for a calm and gentle adult only home for Greta who adopters who will go slow and allow her to progress at her own speed. With the right adopters Greta is a dog who will really transform so if you think you can offer her what she needs please complete her application form asap.

Greta is the sweetest and most adorable dog ever. She is still quite nervous but once she gets to know you she will respond when you call her name and will come up to you for some love. She is very shy at the moment and needs some encouragement to come out of her shell a bit more so a resident dog to help her out would be ideal to show her the joys of being a care free dog. reta walks nicely on the lead but can spook easily and so I think walks should not be rushed once she is home, let her have some time to decompress and then have safety at the forefront of anything that you do with her, like always double leading! She absolutely loves cuddles and would lay with you all day if you let her. I can’t stress enough how sweet this little girl is and how much she deserves a home and family of her own.
25-03-2023 UPDATE
Sweet Greta has come to Ruislip in foster. Kennels were all too much for her. Despite being scared, Greta has made great progress already. She was an angel to bath. She tends to run to her crate when people are around, BUT when it’s just me in the house, she is wiggly waggy and asking to be stroked and cuddled. Greta is a foodie and will accept treats from your hand, she can be won over with patience and kind words. Greta is fantastic with all of my dogs, big and small. I have seen glimmers of the playful dog that she’s destined to become, even initiating play with my own collie. She will definitely need a stable doggy friend in her new home. Housetraining is going well with only the odd accident. She sleeps quietly and cleanly overnight in her crate. Greta can walk on a lead but I haven’t taken her out yet. I want her to feel a bit more settled and confident before exposing her to the variables of the outside world. As a collie with an active body and brain, I think eventually she will love going for walks and will require a decent walk daily. Greta is super special, she has the most loving of dispositions, she craves love and attention from her person. In a calm, patient and loving household she will thrive. I hope her people find her soon.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
