If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

14-03-23 Tilly has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a scared girl who is very overwhelmed to find herself here, she is not used to being handled and does flinch when being handled currently. She adores her kennel friends and is looking for a home where there is at least one other kind and confident dog to be her friend and companion. Tilly has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in to home life and picks up new skills like house training. Tilly will need to learn all about wearing a lead and harness, first around the home and garden before venturing into the real World once she has developed a relationship with the adopters and can gain confidence and security from them when she is unsure. Tilly will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with someone who has experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. With lots of time, love and care she will begin to settle and flourish into her new life. Tilly has a passport.

29-03-23 UPDATE
Gorgeous girl Tilly. She is such a worried soul. She comes across as this playful, happy, regular little dog, but as soon as you try to interact with her in any way she gets so spooked.
She is not used to being handled at all, she scrambles to get away, and will use her mouth from fear if she is rushed in any way. I have been putting a jumper on her in the mornings and taking it off in the evenings as she has a short coat at the moment, to keep her warm when she's in the yard. The first time putting her jumper on she was a petrified mess, but with each time of putting it on and off she becomes a tiny tiny bit more confident.
If I don't look at her or pay any attention to her, she will come up and sniff me, following her kennel friends. So, I can see that she really really wants to be brave, but she just isn't quite there yet. I don't think it will take her long, and I will keep working with her to become more comfortable and confident, and keep her progress here.
Tilly will need someone experienced with very scared ex breeders, who are confident in all the safety management and how to progress with her confidence. I think she is a long way off harness training yet, but maybe she'll surprise me!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
