16-03-2023 Wind is one of the 31 unsold puppies that came into us over the week from breeders. Wind is a very chilled happy little boy that allows us to handle him easily. He likes to watch what is going on around him and appears quite calm and friendly. Wind can live with dog savy children aged 13+ that are respectful to the needs of a puppy. Wind currently needs a home with resident dogs that doesn’t mind a puppy bouncing around. Wind will need to learn about house training and how to walk on a lead and will need adopters who understand what he needs is love and kindness before they start training. Potential adopters need to be aware that due to his coat, he will need regular grooming. Wind will need training and socialising to ensure he turns into a well rounded little boy. Wind has a very overshot jaw that is not causing him an difficulty but will need to be monitored by adopters.
You will be asked to sign a contract confirming you will spay/neuter a puppy and we ask that a puppy attends puppy classes so they can socialise with other dogs and people.
28-03-23 UPDATE
Wind is the absolute sweetest puppy. He adores people and loves playing with toys and his kennel mates.
He also does really well with being groomed and just loves the attention from it. He’s quite a calm pup and is usually either cuddled in bed with his kennel mates, or leaning against the kennel door waiting for passers by to give him attention.
I honestly can’t believe he’s still with us, he will need a resident dog, but he can go with children. He still needs to learn how to walk on a lead, and to be house trained, but he’s still so young it shouldn’t be an issue.
29-03-23 UPDATE
Wind is a very fluffy, very friendly and very cheeky little boy, he loves to push his nose through the bars and show everyone his bottom teeth pearly whites. This little chap has a heart of gold and just wants attention, fuss and love. He’s super confident around both people and other dogs and his tail just doesn’t stop wagging. This little boy is young and would suit pretty much any family, even those in a house that may be a bit hectic. He is such a fun boy that he’s sure to bring smiles, laughs and a whole lot of fun to any family.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
ADOPTION DETAILS
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
