If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.
27-03-23 Willoughby has come to us from a breeder as an unsold puppy. She is a very worried little girl who is very overwhelmed to find herself here at the moment and will be looking for a calm and quiet home, with no young children. Willoughby doesn't know much about being a puppy and hasn't been handled often so she is looking for kind adopters who will offer her lots of love and TLC and help her to come out of her shell. She will need a home where there is another kind dog who can be her friend and help her learn all about being a dog and how much fun it is to play with toys and have lots of love and cuddles. With time and love she will leave her past behind her and blossom into the happy girl she should have always been.
You will be asked to sign a contract confirming you will spay/neuter a puppy and we ask that a puppy attends puppy classes so they can socialise with other dogs and people.
28-03-23 UPDATE
A dear little soul, poor Willoughby hasn't had much opportunity to develop trust for humans in the little time she's spent on this Earth.
She's very nervous and frightful, will panic and cower away when approached but is relatively easy to handle once she's in your arms.
It's a shame to see a puppy so nervous but fortunately it means she has plenty of time to learn that people aren't necessarily something to be afraid of, and now is the most important time for her to be shown some love.
She is very easy to startle and much more comfortable with the other dogs in her kennel, and may be better off in a home where other dogs are already present. From seeing how you interact with your own dogs she should slowly realise that you pose no threat and eventually that she can trust you.
All she needs is the time of a patient and compassionate owner and love you provide her will be repaid tenfold.
29-03-23 UPDATE
Like her litter friends, Willoughby is on the timid side. It’s likely due to not seeing much of the world, then being thrown into such a busy environment - it’s very overwhelming for a little pup like her. Nevertheless, she is trying her best to be confident, and with the help of her litter mates, loves to play, cwtch up and get up to cheeky shenanigans.
She is very interested in the world, and with a little bit of help, she will grow into a very lovely and well adjusted shih x
