06-05-23 Cornwall has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very worried girl who isn't used to being handled and at the moment is very unsure of being touched. She will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with someone who has experience of scared ex-breeding dogs. She will need at least one other kind and confident dog in her new home to be her friend and take her under their wing. Cornwall has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she adjusts to home life and learns all about house training and how to walk on a lead. With time and love she will start to come out of her shell and truly begin to blossom. She has an undershot jaw but this doesn't cause her any issues.

02-06-23 UPDATE
I’ve been working with this little girl for a couple of weeks now and I’m just falling more and more in love with her every day. She puts a smile on my face every time I look at her and her cheeky character makes me laugh daily. She is still quite a nervous and timid girl when it comes to us humans, but her overall confidence has definitely improved since she first arrived. She will come towards me to give me a little sniff, but then she will retreat when I approach her. She is very easy to pick up and handle though bless her .. she even had her very first bath this week!! Cornwall will still need at least 1 kind and confident resident dog in her new home, and her adopters will have to be completely understanding and patient with her. Home life will probably be very overwhelming for her at first and it may take her a little while to settle, so going slow and steady with her will make all the difference. I really hope she doesn’t have to wait long to be chosen .. I’d absolutely love to see her curled up on her forever sofa soon.

05-06-23 UPDATE

Cornwall arrived in foster with us yesterday. She is a happy girl with a waggy tail. She is much more confident when she's around other dogs. She has that cheeky charming character. She does come and sit up close and takes treats from my hand and comes back for more. She’s quite easy to handle and she does relax when she’s in your arms. All this little girl wants is to be loved and in no time cheeky character will start to shine. She’s very inquisitive follows me around the garden.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
