If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

12-05-23 Whitney has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. At the moment she is very shut down and is extremely worried to find herself here. She will be looking for a calm and quiet, home with someone who has experience with scared ex-breeding dogs. Any children in the home would need to be older and very dog savvy. She will need at least one other kind and confident dog in her new home to be her friend and to help her to settle in to her new life. At the moment she will just sit in the corner and worry and so she really needs someone to kind to take her by the paw and show her how wonderful her life can be now. She will need lots of love and TLC and adopters who will take things slowly at her pace, but once she starts to trust you and you see her tail wag for the first time, it will be so worth it. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. Once she has began to trust you, she will also need to learn all about walking on a lead, first around the home and garden before eventually venturing outside. Whitney is a little heartbreaker who so deserves to find her happily ever after. She has a passport document.

05-06-23 UPDATE

I remember the day I carried Whitney off the van, she was a very frightened girl. I am happy to say she has come a long way since being at Many Tears. She is still a bit nervous when you enter her kennel, but if you approach her slowly she does settle down. Currently she won't come up to me for a fuss but once I sit down with her she absolutely loves it. I sat in her kennel for a good 20 minutes earlier and she was absolutely loving the company, she was curled up next to me with her head on my lap so compared to the dog that came in last month, her progress has been absolutely staggering, I am so pleased to see her like this. I believe Whitney will be the perfect addition to any family who's looking for a chill dog. From my experiences with her she's very quiet. Even though she loves just chilling in her kennel snuggling with her kennel mate she does absolutely love playing in the yard, chasing after a ball running round smelling new things. She would benefit from having a kind resident dog in her new home to be her friend. She hasn't began harness training yet so you will have that to look forward to do with her, she's never lived in a home before so you will need to train her all skills like house training and walking the lead, from my experience she's keeps her kennel very clean and tries to wait and go to the toilet outside so it hopefully won't take her long to learn that. Please consider this beautiful girl for adoption, she deserves the chance to settle down in her forever home and blossom into the girl she should of always been.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
