If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

08-08-23 Brenda has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very worried girl who is extremely scared about being handled at the moment and does have the ability to make the wrong decision and panic when pushed out of her comfort zone. She will be looking for a calm and quiet adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who have lots of time and love to offer her. She is happiest when around her kennel friends and so she will be looking for a home where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog who will be her friend and companion. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in at her own pace and learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. With time and love she will start to come out of her shell and blossom into the sweet girl we can see inside.

13-08-23 UPDATE
Brenda has been spayed and had a much needed dental, she has had 11 teeth extracted and has been started on medication for sore ears. She already seems a lot more comfortable and is enjoying her soft food.

02-09-23 UPDATE

Brenda is such a sweet girl who although timid with people, is super playful with other dogs and loves nothing more than play-bowing with any dog she thinks might have a good old zoom around with.
Brenda needs a home with no young children as she would find them too much and there must be at least one kind and playful resident dog as she relies heavily on them. Brenda is easy to handle, but she doesn't enjoy fuss and cuddles at the moment.
I hope someone comes along and falls in love with her soon, she is such a darling.

26-10-23 UPDATE
Brenda is a very active, happy little dog who gets on very well with all the resident dogs and cat. She needs to live with another dog either male or female and with adopters who are home most of the time. Brenda will need a garden with some grass to play in too. Brenda travels well and can be left for up to 2 hours. She is nearly completely house trained. Brenda does eat her food slowly but she is only a little girl! Lead walking is work in progress because she still doesn't like being picked up, but is happy to be tickled and brushed. Children would be too much for her at present.

08-12-23 UPDATE

Brenda is a very special little girl. When she came she was petrified of being picked up but now she can be picked up with care. She jumps up beside us on the chairs and really enjoys cuddles. Brenda is brilliant with all dogs, loves people and is fine with older dog savvy children. Small children are still too much for her. She is very playful and always first to greet us in the morning. This little sweetheart hasn’t got a nasty bone in her body. Basic commands and recall are very good. Brenda is nearly always clean indoors.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
