25-08-2023 Sally is a beautiful sweet girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She has arrived with an ear infection that we will treat.  She is quite unused to people paying her attention and is a little shut down in our presence but she is easy to handle and after some time appears to quite enjoy a gentle fuss. Sally is looking for a quiet calm adult only home as she would find children too overwhelming. Sally gets a lot of comfort from her kennel friends and is happiest when snuggling up to them in bed and running around the play yard with them. Sally will need a confident kind resident dog in her new home that she can get comfort from and gain confidence by copying them in her new home. Sally will need kind understanding adopters that can help her learn new skills such as housetraining and walking on a lead/harness when she is ready. Sally will need time and positivity in her new home to help her settle into her new home and bond with her adopters, this will be a big change for her so she will new adopters who are aware of this. Sally has a pets travel document.

21-09-23 UPDATE
Sally is such a timid lady who really doesn't understand human kindness at the moment, she doesn't want to be near people at all, and will definitely need a child free home with a very kind resident dog to show her the ropes and help her gain confidence.
She wore a harness for the first time today, and didn't like it but coped quite well, it will take plenty of time and patience to get her used to the whole concept of lead walking. Her new people will need to be prepared for this, as well as being very safety conscious, especially making sure she is double-leaded when not in secure areas.
She is a sweet girl who deserves to be in a home, starting to experience all the amazing parts of life.

28-09-23 UPDATE
Sally has seen or vets to be neutered and had 6 teeth removed at the same time, she is recovering well and eating well. Her ear infection is ongoing and she is receiving daily medication for this. Her new adopters will need to be aware that she may need to continue medication for this in her new home which would not be coverable by insurance.

27-10-23 UPDATE

Sally is still a timid girl who is too nervous to take steps on her harness at the moment, but she is very playful with other dogs and loves to snuggle up with her kennel friends. She goes for playdates in the yard with other kennels and gets on with everyone. I know that in the right home she will thrive, she just needs that right home to come along. She will need an adult only home with a kind and playful resident dog to show her the ropes. She will take a little while to feel comfortable enough to start walking and safety will need to be a big consideration as she will probably be flighty to begin with. She is making progress here, but it's slow and steady. Hopefully she'll exceed all expectations in a home and become a happy and well rounded lady who knows what her best life should be, finally.

09-12-23 UPDATE
Sally continues to take her ear medication and whilst her ears have improved hugely she still needs daily drops for them. Sally is getting along well with harness training! Each day we walk a little bit further; she would also prefer to walk with a friend. Her confidence is also building as the days go on and will approach us on her own terms. This sweet girl has spent too long in the kennels and needs a loving home with a fellow furry companion in order for her confidence to blossom to its full potential.

05-01-24 UPDATE

?Sally has settled well into home life here in foster. She is a real sweetie and a pleasure to have around. She is clean in the house, sleeps all night, eats alongside my dogs and loves to cuddle and play with them. She will need a kind dog in her new home. Although she is still shy of people, she is easy to handle and loves a cuddle. Sally loves going for walks, and gets on well with all dogs she meets, and travels well in the car. Sally ears have greatly improved and she does not mind having them cleaned. Sally is a lovely girl and will make a great friend, she really deserves her forever home.

21-02-24 UPDATE

Sally is a lovely girl, has become more confident and is enjoying life. She loves going for walks, is housetrained, can be left a couple of hours, and does not mind being groomed or having her ears cleaned, which are now clear. She is so well behaved when we visit cafes and pubs.Sally would be fine with older children and will need another dog in her new home.

Sally is a real gem and deserves a forever home.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
