If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

29-09-23 Ava has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a very worried girl who at the moment will choose to hide away at the back of her kennel and just hopes that we can't see her. Despite this, when we do handle her she doesn't seem to mind being touched or picked up, so with time and love she will hopefully soon begin to realise that human hands can be kind and will begin to come out of her shell. Ava will be looking for a calm and quiet home where there is at least one other kind and confident dog who will be her friend and take her under their wing. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead and harness. She is a sweet girl and with lots of TLC she will begin to blossom. Ava has a PETS travel document.

27-10-23 UPDATE
Ava has really come out of her shell with her kennel pals! She has met a variety of different friends over the past few weeks and loves to have a run around in the yard with them all. She is a very sweet girl but still a bit wary of humans but we are gaining more trust as the days go on. A loving and patient home is what Ava needs with a resident dog in order to show her the ropes of home living. I would suggest a home with much older children.

23-11-23 UPDATE

Ava is such a beautiful girl in need of a patient and loving home. She’s fairly confident with her kennel mates, but still quite nervous around humans.
A quiet home with another resident dog showing her the creature comforts of living in a home, and either no children, or much older children is what she needs. Living in a home with understanding owners to give her the one to one attention she deserves, will help this little lady gain confidence with humans at a much faster pace.
Given the opportunity I know she will flourish in the right home.

30-12-23 UPDATE
Ava is a girl who likes her food, her kennel friends and her toys, but people really aren't on her favourites list quite yet. In time that will change, but kennels isn't the place for her and she needs an experienced person to help her break free and start her journey to becoming a happy, loved and spoilt lady who knows that humans are there to give her lots of good things!
She is very worried of human hands at the moment, but she will let you pick her up with a blanket.
She’s a sweet girl that has been through a lot, and we are desperately hoping that someone sees the twinkle in her eye and takes a chance on her soon, kennels are not where she belongs and she needs a home to truly thrive.

20-02-24 UPDATE

Little Ava had a rough start in life and a rough start here in foster with us. She arrived with a friend who REALLY struggled with us and was very stressed and very frightened. Not a good combination and it really set Ava on edge too, both of them barked a LOT. With her friend being moved to a situation where she was happier, Ava has started to decompress, started to find her feet and relax. She is such a quiet and dear little soul now, she has made friends with a couple of our gang and she now sleeps and eats well. We have had decorators in all week and she has not reacted badly, she has simply gone with the gang. She has bonded with Debbie and now sleeps at her feet, she is a really beautiful little soul, she asks so little and deserves so much. Her house training is getting there, we haven't tried to walk her yet after the start, but in the next week or so that is our plan, I so want her to have the home she deserves, as soon as possible but she is SO little trouble, we hardly notice she is here.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
