If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

25-10-2023 Zenna is a gentle lady who has come to us from a breeder.  She is easy to handle, but not confident enough to approach us without her kennel friends for support.  In a calm, adult only home with adopters who understand she will need a little time to get used to living in a home, we think Zenna will soon start to enjoy her new life.  There will need to be at least one other dog in her new home, who is happy to let her snuggle up with them if she wants to.  She will watch them and then start to copy what they do which will help her with house training and lead walking etc.  In time and with adopters who have all the time and patience she will need to learn about home life, Zenna will start to understand and love her new life.

22-11-23 UPDATE
Zenna is a lovely cocker who is a bit nervous, although she is perfectly sociable with other friendly cockers.
I took her out today to give her some exposure to the outside world. She has become a little too cosy under a heat lamp, and sometimes she doesn't want to leave her comfort and come for a walk
I'm sure that with time and effort, she'd warm to an owner and get more confident.

28-12-23 UPDATE
Zenna is an unsure young soul, who hasn't had the nicest of lives so far. Yet she is still so sweet and gentle and loves nothing more than cuddling up with her kennel friends in a warm cozy bed. Could you provide a warm cozy, calm environment for her to slowly come around to being the most perfect dog. As she is now, she would need a confident friend who would be happy to snuggle up with her and give her the support she needs to open up.

30-01-24 UPDATE
Zenna is a lovely female cocker who has come to us from a breeder, and requires a nurturing environment and a loving adopter that will help her grow. She’s a calm and gentle girl that loves dogs similar to her, she is still cautious around people, but is slowly starting to come out of her shell. I took her outside today by herself and at first she was clinching me very tightly and her heart rate was up. I sat with her for 20 minutes in the sunshine, and I could feel her muscles and body slowly sinking into me and relaxing. She just needs to learn that humans can be nice to her and we are hoping that special person will take a chance on this amazing little girl

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
