If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

18-11-23 Rockie is a sweet girl who is very worried at the moment. She has come from her breeder to find a loving home which is something she has never known before. She has arrived with sore ears that our vet has taken a look at and she is currently recieving treatment for. Rockie is very shy at the moment but has a kind and gentle nature. She has no clue what she should be doing so is feeling overwhelmed and takes comfort from her kennel friends. She will need a kind resident dog in her new home that can be her friend and help her to learn the ropes of living in a home. She will need to learn about house training, how to walk on a lead and where the best places are for a daytime snooze! Little Rockie has no expectations of life but in time she will settle and begin to enjoy her new way of life, she will just need lots of patience and TLC in a quiet home to help her to bloom. She arrived with quite sore ears and is currently receiving treatment. She has a PETS passport travel document. She has passed her cat test.

05-01-24 UPDATE

Rockie is a timid girl but she is on the cusp of becoming confident! When she is out with her friends, she so wants to come up and get a fuss and all your love, but although she’s trying to be brave, she is still a bit too unsure to make that last step at the moment. She will very happily approach you when you aren't facing her or within the safety net of her friends though, and this is why she would do so well in a home with another happy confident dog. If your dog would be happy to share their home with our angel Rockie, she would have so much love to give you and would be such a rewarding new addition to the family.
We will do our best to keep improving her confidence and trust in humans but in the care and comfort of a home I know she would blossom, please apply if you are willing to take on such a special girl and watch her bloom. Rockie is currently on treatment for her ears which is ongoing at the moment.

01-02-24 UPDATE

Rockie is a very lovely girl, who is still timid with new people. Once she knows you, she will stand and wait for you to fuss her, and approach you with a waggy tail! Rockie loves all other dogs & definitely will need another dog in her new home to keep her company and teach her the ways of home life. We would like her new home to have had rescue experience in the past, and wouldn’t home her with younger children as they would be a bit too much for her at the current stage she is at. We would consider dog savvy teenagers for sure. Rockie is being super brave at the moment & is going out on the harness with her kennel mum and is making good progress. She’s a shy girl, but with a lot of love to give. Let’s not keep her waiting long!

12-02-24 UPDATE

Rockie has been here for nearly 3 months now, and that’s a huge amount of time for such a worried girl. Nonetheless, Rockie has made some amazing strides and even in this tough environment, is getting braver by the day and has started to understand that not all humans are bad. Rockie has gotten confident enough to start her harness harness training and is improving everyday and enjoys going out for her stroll. She likes to explore whilst out and is taking in new experiences of the world bit by bit, while allowing her to walk at her own pace.
She has become confident enough to allow us to fuss her and pop her harness and jumper on with ease and if you’ve ever had any experience with timid rescues, you’ll know just how incredible these little steps have been for her and us. Rockie is a fantastic girl and I’m surprised no one has snapped her up yet, she has so much to offer, has so many ways to grow and in time, could be the most amazing companion. Rockie saw a cat today, several actually and passed her cat test with flying colours, which means she would be able to be re-homed with some friendly felines, but will definitely need a kind resident dog to help show her the ropes of home life and all it has to offer

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
