If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

18-11-2023 Tetra is a very worried but ever so cute little boy who has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. He feels very overwhelmed at the moment and has no idea what is expected of him. He will flinch when he is picked up and cannot understand why we would want to be touching him. He cannot approach us and feels very unsure. Tetra's only comfort is other dogs here and he will need an experienced home with a kind resident dog that he can copy around the house and snuggle up to. He has never lived in a home before so will need understanding adopters that can help him learn new skills such as housetraining and learning to walk on a harness/lead when he is ready. He will need regular trips to the groomers to ensure his coat is comfortable and manageable. He is an absolute gem who will thrive in a loving home. Tetra has a PETS passport travel document.

26-12-23 UPDATE
I’ve only been working with Tetra for just over a week but I’ve already noticed a difference in how comfortable he is around me. Don’t get me wrong, he is still a very nervous boy, but he will sheepishly approach me now to give me a little sniff on the hand. I took him into the grooming room today to trim the hair around his eyes and give him a little brush, and even though he was scared, he did allow me to do it without much fuss. One thing I have come to learn about Tetra is that he does not like to be carried around. He gets very scared of all the movements and does start to freak out and try to get down. This is something I’ll work with him on and I’m hoping it won’t take him too long to realise he won’t get hurt. I just don’t think he’s used to it.
Tetra is an absolute gentleman with all of his kennel friends, both male and female. He thrives off of having doggy company so he definitely will still need a resident dog in his new home. His adopters will need to be extremely patient with him, and understanding of all of his worries and fears. It may take a good while until he resembles anything of a “normal” dog, doing normal dog things such as walking on a lead, BUT I do think he will get there in time. He just needs to be given a chance!

27-01-24 UPDATE

Tetra is the sweetest most sensitive little guy. This timid soul shows interest and enthusiasm in the world around him, and day by day gets a tiny bit more confident. Tetra loves food and we have definitely made friends with the help of cheese, which he will now lick straight off my fingers. Tetra would love a home with super gentle humans that have at least one doggie companion, to help show him  the world can be a lovely place. His new family will need to give him lots of time and love so that he can really begin to enjoy life, and do all the great things a doggie should do. Like learn how to walk on a harness and lead (tetra has started harness training, but will need lots more time with this). This lovely boy really does deserve to be in a home.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
