21-11-2023 Nancy is a darling little girl who is very timid and needs a kind loving home to help her realise how loved she is, Nancy has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. Nancy will try and hide amongst her kennel friends when she sees us and is quite touch sensitive as she is not used to being handled. Nancy just generally wants to get away from us as she doesn't realsie our intentions are good yet. Nancy shows her very sweet personality when around her kennel friends and shows them lots of affection when she thinks we aren't looking, she sticks to them like glue when in the play yard and spends most of her day snuggled next to them in bed. Nancy will need an  adult only home experienced in scared ex-breeders who are understanding and prepared for Nancy to be a flight risk. It is vital Nancy has at least one confident resident dog that is happy to snuggle next to her in bed and that Nancy can copy around the hosue. Nancy has never lived in a home before so will need help learning new skills such as housetraining and learning to walk on a harness in a secure area when she is ready. Nancy is such a sad little girl who in the right home with lots of TLC and plenty of time to decompress and learn that humans are safe will come out of her shell and see the joy in life.

12-01-24 UPDATE

Nancy had a groom today. Our groomer said she that she was a super star and sat well - she even enjoyed the little pamper she got! Nancy is a beautiful girl who is slowly becoming used to humans. She is trying so hard to be brave and is okay with being handled, but still feels more comfortable when in the yard with all her friends. Nancy is not quite walking on a lead yet, but has started work on being harness trained - it’s a scary world for a small dot like her, but with a little bit of time, she’ll get there! We hope she finds a home where she can continue the her journey - we’re sure she’ll blossom in a home away from all the noise of kennel life, she just needs that special person to give her that chance.

22-01-24 UPDATE
Nancy has been in foster with us for a week and has made some small positive steps.  She is still very timid and doesn’t want to be touched but she will let you gently corner her and pick her up. She’s started to go out for short walks. She’s very reliant on the resident dog for comfort and confidence but will sit on the sofa next to my husband if I take our dog out for a walk. She is also okay to be left for short periods as long as she has another dog for company. She’s started to have a little play with some toys and has been really good with toilet training just having a couple of accidents indoors.

10-02-24 UPDATE

Nancy has been in foster for a month now and settled in well. She’s going out for walks and has been to a secure field where she loved running round and playing. She’s doing well with toilet training just having the odd accident indoors. She’s had a groom and was very good for the groomer. Although she’s still very timid and not sure about being touched she is letting me give a her little fuss. She loves being with the resident dog and will need another small dog to cuddle up with. She’s a lovely little dog.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
