WILLY WOULD LIKE A HOME WITH SPIKE

24-11-23 Willy is a gorgeous little Chihuahua who has been given up by his breeder alongside his friend Spike. They are very close and would love to find their forever home together. He is a happy, comical and friendly older chap who loves to be the centre of attention. He has lived with a large group of dogs before, including his friend Spike, so they could either be homed together where there are no other dogs or could live with other dogs too. We are told he has lived with cats before and he could live with older children who understand his need for some time and space as he settles. He has never walked on a lead before but we think he will take well to a harness soon. Willy has such a wonderful character that we think he will settle into home life well and learn all about house training and other such home skills if you give him some time and plenty of patience. Willy has a grade 3-4 heart murmur which does not require medication currently but will need to be monitored by adopters vets. Willy has only two teeth remaining as he arrived with several missing and had some removed during a dental at the vets.

08-12-23 UPDATE

Willy and Spike are the most adorable loving tiny  boys  3.5 kg who adore each other and snuggle together in their little bed.
They can go with or without an existing dog.
I think the boys would be happy with a garden they can enjoy & humans that will dote on them.
These two are going to make some one very happy.
Will seems to be housetrained, Spike needs putting out in the garden to remind him when he needs to go. I don’t think it will take him long to get the hang of it.

24-12-23 UPDATE

Willy and Spike are the funniest little chihuahua characters, they adore attention and love to snuggle together or on a lap.
They are sharing the house with 8 other dogs, they would love to live in a home with less dogs as that would mean more attention for them. They are getting the hang of housetraining, as long as they are put out the garden regularly. They would suit a home, where they can be spoiled, they adore the heat and snuggle under the heated blanket when there isn’t a lap available. They seem to enjoy a trip out in a pram, so this might be an ideal way to introduce them to the big wide world, or they would be happy with an interesting garden.

16-01-24 UPDATE

Willy and Spike have been in foster with me for nearly 2 months. In this time they have grown so much in confidence and now know the daily routine. They run out to the garden, have a quick wee and can’t wait to get back on their heat pads.
They would make great companions for some one with or without another dog. Willy has no teeth but still manages to chew a bone and loves to spend the evening washing his boyfriend spike. Spike is a little character and likes to get into the pantry where he knows the dog food is kept.
They are unusual for Chihuahuas as I have only heard them bark once, even at food time there isn’t a peep from them.
These two deserve the best home, you will be rewarded with oodles of Chihuahua love.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
