14-02-24 Ayooni is a stunning girl whose name means love in Navajo. She has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She is a very scared girl who is skittish and flighty at the moment so will need a very calm, experienced and understanding home with a secure garden to ensure her safety. Ayooni is scared but has made no attempt to be aggressive towards us which is testimony to her lovely nature. She will need a kind resident dog in her new home to bond with and show her that everything is ok.She has not passed her cat test so will need a home without cats.  She will need to learn home skills such as house training and how to walk on lead and will need infinite patience to help her get this right. She is a sensitive soul but in the right home she will start to relax and then she will begin to shine. She has a PETS passport travel doc.

29-03-24 UPDATE
Ayooni is doing very well and is really starting to show her character. She is incredibly playful with all dogs, she is confident enough with me to come up for a sniff and is much more at ease when I go in to stroke her, although she doesn't ask for a fuss yet. We are getting her used to being handled and wearing a harness, I'm sure she'll pick this up quite quickly from now, but I shall keep you all posted on her progress. She is a very special girl who will really thrive in the right home. She shares everything with other dogs and her new canine companion will have to be wonderful, just like she is.  

13-04-24 UPDATE 

Magnificent Ayooni is something special, she is a darling with all dogs, she gets yarded with older puppies and loves playing with them. She shares food, beds, toys and will allow dogs to use her as a seat. She is walking on a harness quite well and is gaining confidence day-by-day. She is still worried of human hands but is easy to handle, you just need to be slow. I couldn't be prouder of this girls progress and I feel very lucky to be one of the people that gets to care for her here. She progressing a little bit more everyday, she went down the new play yard for the first time and had a good explore, she coped really well but she did have a long line attached, we wouldn't have been able to catch her without it. She spent most of the time following me around, with a few zooms thrown in. She does have a long journey ahead of her, but with how quickly she has picked up things such as lead walking and playing, I think she'll come on much quicker than we expect once in a suitable home. 

14-05-24 UPDATE

Ayooni has much improved since her last update! She walks lovely on lead along side a fellow furry friend but can be spooked by passing cars or loud noises. Her confidence with humans is improving also allowing us to get much closer to her and give her fuss along with feeding her food and treats. She is a quiet gentle soul who spends most of her days relaxing at the front out her kennel watching the world go by but will happily run around doing zoomies in the yard. Ayooni would love to have a playful friend in the household.

05-06-24 UPDATE

I cannot believe how well this girl has progressed being here in kennels! Ayooni walks beautifully on her harness along side her friends and has even started jumping and skipping when she knows it’s time to visit the big play yard! Ayooni decided to show us how brave she is by posing for us on one of the climbing toys that have been built and she looks ever so proud of herself!

She is still a little nervous around people but I’m sure with someone around all the time she will soon realise that all they want to do is give her love.

This wonderful girl has been here since February waiting for her forever home, she’s seen her friends leave and we think it’s now time for her to find a place to call home.

 

18-07-24 UPDATE

Ayooni is such a beautiful and sweet natured girl who is progressing more and more. She walks lovely on a harness and is always so excited to get to the big play yard where she can have lots of sniffs, play dates and social interaction at her pace! Though apprehensive, if she has space around her, she is curious of strangers and will go up to them for a little sniff, especially when she’s in the big yard. It makes me incredibly sad Ayooni is still here. This beautiful girl who has grown in confidence and curiosity so much since being with us, deserves so much more than life in kennels, she’s been here too long. Please don’t leave her waiting any longer, as you can see from her photos .. her face says a lot when she trusts you, and whoever the lucky family is, she will be an important part of your family and life.  

 

01-08-24 UPDATE
Ayooni has been here is foster for about 10 days now. What a lovely, easy going girlie she is. She is quiet, calm and so very easy to have around. It was a big change for her coming into a home for the first time. She coped so well and bravely.

She has perfect manners. Is house clean, walks kindly on the lead and really enjoys having a happy zoom around in my secure field. Ayooni gets on brilliantly with all the other dogs.

She is kind, polite and sociable. Ayooni travels very well in the car, sleeps all night through with the rest of us upstairs in the family bedroom. Ayooni remains a timid soul, so will need kind empathetic adopters who will be both understanding and encouraging. She will also NEED the support of another friendly welcoming dog (s) to help her settle and feel safe.  

 

13-10-2024 UPDATE

Ayooni continues to be a delightful house guest. She has a fun side and loves the toy box, finding little 'treasures' to enjoy, She is such an easy going girlie, and has good recall ( well mostly ). She is a quiet girl who rarely barks. She is so very polite in all her ways. Ayooni is still shy regarding very close contact (cuddles) so we continue to build her up, so she can gradually realise she can trust our expressions of affection. She is not reactive in any way, just unsure, shying away. Ayooni is a proper darling. She will still need a kind, welcoming resident dog in her adoptive home, preferably a dog who'd enjoy having some fun and a friendly chase about. Ayooni will need kindhearted adopters who will enjoy helping her experience the wonders and delights of life.
 

06-02-25 UPDATE

Ayooni continues to be a delightful young lady.  She is so very easy going and well mannered around the house. She gets on with all dogs and would love a fun companion in her new home.  She really enjoys trips in the car and especially loves running around, having zoomies, and generally playing in my secure field.

Ayooni  really enjoys home comforts and despite her thick coat, she appreciates a warm fire on a cold day.  Ayooni will definitely need a welcoming doggy friend in her new home and gentle, kind adopters
