22-04-2024 Issac is an utter delight to be around! He has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. Issac is such an affectionate, happy and energetic young boy who has a joyful personality and just wants to be loved. He runs up to greet you with the waggiest tail. He will lay on your lap for extra cuddles and fuss. Issac is full of beans and enjoys going out on long walks, he already walks well on a lead. Isaac is looking for an active home with plenty of time to give him lots of exercise, enrichment and love that he needs. Issac gets on well with dogs here and can happily live with other resident dog/s. He can also be an only dog in the right home where he won't be left alone for long periods. Isaac will need understanding adopters as we are unsure if he has ever lived in a home before so he may need help learning new skills such as housetraining. Issac is such a sweetheart but would not be suitable for a first time dog owner and would be looking for an experienced home. He would benefit from going to training classes and having adopters who will work training him to ensure he grows into a well rounded adult. He is so easy to fall in love with! He will need a cat free home. Issac has a PETs travel document.

Issac is an absolutely super boy, he acts exactly like what he is, an 8 month Labrador cross. He's very playful, very affectionate and cuddly, lively and food orientated. Issac knows how sit and lie down but is bright enough that he'll only now do it if there's a treat in your hand. He walks lovely on a lead, only pulling sometimes, meets other dogs well, but he failed his cat test so cannot be homed with cats.
He's very cuddly and goes up to people to say hello and get a fuss. With other dogs, he can be a bit too playful and if not homed as an only, will need a tolerant resident dog of a similar size, who will tell him off when he needs it. Issac will mouth your hand, or ankle, we're trying to teach him not too, I think he does it to get your attention, so we'd advise children in the home to be around 11 years and up.
Issac is an all round great boy, the only thing going against him is that he's a black crossbreed which aren't as easy to home sadly.

Issac is an incredibly lovely chap and has nothing but love to give. He absolutely loves scratches and cuddles. Issac is a big puppy and even though he’s progressed so much with us here, there is still a little work to do when it comes to training. He’s progressed so well with walking on the lead but still requires a little more practice to become perfect. As Issac is a puppy in a big body we feel he would require an experienced home so he has the best opportunity to be the fantastic little man I know he can be! Issac will be the perfect companion for the right person and I’m exited to see where the future leads him.

Wooof! My name is Issac. As you can see from my profile I am not even a year old yet but I am already the size of a big Labrador…I’m probably not going to grow too much more than I am now. I found myself at this place called Many Tears Animal Rescue around 3 months ago and I have adapted really well to my life/routines here. When I first see my people I seem very excited and when you enter my kennel I am very bouncy and happy…to a point that I can become a little too playful with my mouth, but I’m so clever that I know when my person tells me to stop, sit and wait..that I will receive something very tasty. Through out the day then I learn that every time a person comes near, if I sit instantly I’m told I’m a good boy, and I receive even more tasty snacks!
I absolutely love to play, so much so that most dogs can’t handle my energetic side and they do get annoyed with me.. I have managed to find 1 dog here so far who puts up with me, but she has now been adopted. I have struggled since to find a friend to tolerate me. I can be an amazing friend to a larger female who can tolerate my silly side, and maybe even run and play with me.
If I’m alone in the play yards with just my carer…I just love to chase and play with all my toys in the yard, my favourite is tug of war with rope. I already walk on a lead really well, however I am very strong and I do need to be told to slow down. When I pass other dogs on walks I can be reactive but my kennel dad has shown me that if I’m good and don’t react I will get a treat…which I love, and so I listen. Once I’ve had some attention and burnt off a bit of energy I love nothing more than to have a big cuddle with my human, I have a sweet spot that instantly makes me fall to the ground and I am almost paralysed with how good it feels…that being said if you enter/meet me for the first time and you stroke me in the right spot I will almost do this all the time. I LOVE FUSS!
I’m going to pass the pen to my kennel dad “Dan” who is now going to back up what I’ve said.
Hello so Isaac has kindly introduced me as his kennel dad, I’m Dan, and I absolutely love this boy. Isaac is a big baby who really needs to get in to a home life environment where he can have 100% of someone’s attention and love.
Isaac is so playful and bouncy that he would be best suited to a home with no young children or visiting children… he is just too big and happy to be around smaller humans and could accidentally knock them over in his excitement.
Issac would definitely be happier as an only dog purely because of how energetic and playful he is…and this is only matched with larger females who are just as bouncy and tolerable as he is.
As big, proud and confident as he is..he can be quite scared if loud noises are produced. A single person or a couple who have independently had experience with larger dog breeds would be ideal for Isaac. An energetic home who can provide lots of activities and walks for him. As Isaac has mentioned..he loves his food and treats. it didn’t take much time at all to teach him sit, wait, and gently. He takes treats as gentle as possible.
On walks he is very strong but if you hold him right he does walk really well by your side..if he sees another dog he is mostly not interested, if he does show any, I flash a treat/say what’s this and he instantly knows food is around and he decides to have treat over reacting 9/10. I have spent most of Issac’s time here working with him and I really do love him, he is 1 in a million. He would be the most perfect companion in the world…very loving, and cuddly. He absolutely loves outdoor time. He would change the life of who ever was lucky enough to go all the way with him.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
