31-05-2024 Freddy is a darling, sweet but timid boy who has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. He is initially quite unsure of us but once we spend some time with him he quickly warms up to us and enjoys for a gentle fuss. In a calm loving home Freddy will come out of his shell as his confidence and trust in his family grows. Freddy comes to life around other dogs and shows his happy personality in their presence. Freddy adores being around other dogs here and he will need a home with a kind resident dog that he can copy around the house and snuggle up to. Freddy has never lived in a home before so will need understanding adopters that can help him learn new skills such as housetraining and learning to walk on a lead/harness. Freddy can live with older teenage children who are dog savvy and respectful of his needs. Freddy is such a sweet boy that will flouish in a loving home and cannot wait to experience his new life. Freddy has a pets travel document.

Oh Freddy, this boy really is the sweetest of souls and we really can’t wait for the day that he realises he has nothing to fear. He’s settled in to life at the rescue so very well but really does take all of his comfort from his doggy friends, while still remaining nervous of human interaction. He has improved so much in terms of being handled during his time here and has been having daily cuddles to help him come out of his shell a little, but he will still opt to run away initially when you enter his kennel, which is a heartbreaking reaction for such a young boy to have at the sight of a person.
Recently, he has began submitting when we calmly approach him however and he is now more than willing to be scooped up to have a little cuddle. Freddy gets on magnificently with all other dogs and as previously mentioned relies on them a lot, so he will need at least one other dog in his new home. He needs very understanding and caring new owners who will continue the work we have been doing here and take everything at his pace. With love and patience, we just know Freddy will blossom into the most amazing companion, he just needs that chance.

Freddy has had 4 teeth extracted at the time of his neuter and is being treated for a ear infection.

Freddy has been in foster for almost 5 weeks and I can’t praise him enough. He has taken to home life amazingly well. If anyone is looking for a practically perfect dog to slot in then Freddy is who you’ve been waiting for. Freddy has such a calm, gentle nature and he loves affection. He’s still timid but will come for cuddles on the sofa when he can.
He adores other dogs, male and female and relies on their judgement which helps him with his confidence. He’s not invasive to them but enjoys running and playing with them outside in secure fields. Freddy is great in a car, very chilled and will often fall asleep. Freddy has been clean in the house from day one and even when left with the other dogs for a short amount of time there’s been no accidents. He makes no fuss when left, when watched on a home camera and Freddy just waits patiently. No barking or stressing.
I’ve yet to hear Freddy bark, even when the other dogs chase birds, he follows but no barks.Freddy sleeps quietly all night on the end of the bed, this little boy is an absolute dream to live with. Because of Freddy’s past he has just one thing that worries him and that’s unexpected noises. He is overcoming this but will need understanding & encouragement to eventually conquer it… Do you think you have the love, time and patience to help Freddy leave his troubles far behind him and build on the happiness this beautiful boy so much deserves?
Freddy would love a calm forever home with a kind and playful doggie(s) to be his best friend !
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
