If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.
04-06-2024 Alvin is a very sweet little boy who has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. He is a little nervous but is easy to handle and gives us a waggy tail. Alvin has only known life with the company of other dogs so at the moment he will need a home with another resident dog to help him settle into his new life. Alvin gets on well with his kennel friends here and loves to play with them in the play yard. He has never lived in a home before and will need understanding adopters that can help him learn new skills such as housetraining and walking on a lead/harness - having a resident dog to copy will also help Alvin with this. Alvin is such a gentle boy and he will make a great addition to a loving family.
21-06-24 UPDATE
Our vets have noted that Alvin has weakness, reduced range of movement and muscle atrophy in his right hind leg. They have advised he needs x-rays which is being arranged and our rehoming team can discuss this further.
25-06-24 UPDATE
Sweet boy Alvin is a timid boy with a heart of gold. He’s only a year old so it makes sense that he’s finding life a bit difficult in this kennel environment. Despite all of this, he is trying his best and does slowly warm up to you after a few minutes of sitting with him. Alvin has a kennel buddy who is very comfortable with people which helps let him know that everything is okay. It’s best that he goes to a home with a family that already has a resident dog so that they can help him thrive! Alvin is a truly remarkable boy and you can see that there’s so much personality hidden underneath, he just needs a chance to let it shine through.

Alvin is a little sweetheart! He desperately wants to come out of his shell fully but kennels and humans are a little scary still. He allows you to approach him slowly and give him some gentle fuss. He quite enjoys the fuss actually, his waggly tail gives him away! Alvin is easily handled and I’m sure in a home environment where he can relax he would reveal the sweet cheeky boy he’s meant to be. Although he’s definitely showing it more by the day around his kennel mates where he’s most confident. He’ll engage in playing with you if you have a toy too. Alvin does rely on his kennel mates and would love a resident dog in his new home to teach him how to be a brave dog! He could be homed with older dog savvy children who are able to remain patient and gentle with him. He’d make a lovely little best friend.
19-07-24 UPDATE
Alvin has had Xrays which showed that he had a malformed hip socket. He has now had surgery to create a hip socket that will feel more comfortable. He is now on crate rest and will not be available for adoption until he has healed and is ready to be rehomed.
12-08-24 UPDATE
Alvin is recovering really well after his surgery and is starting to go on 5 minute daily walks.
10-09-24 UPDATE
Alvin is a sweet, lovely, cheeky boy! He is getting along good with his short walks and is successfully building back his muscle. His first walk of the day is always a slow, scary one for Alvin, but his second and third walk he thrives on them! He gets very excited when he goes back in with his kennel buddy’s and wants to play with them! Alvin can be a bit nervous to start with but once you’ve sat with him for a few minutes his curiosity overcomes him and he will come up and smell you. He likes to play with toys and will occasionally want you to play with him, he can be a bit nervous when you go and touch him but he hasn’t been around many people so it’s understandable that he might be a bit scared.
Alvin is the bestest boy and will thrive in a home environment with a resident dog.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
