If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

02-10-24Salt has been waiting so patiently for a home and has settled well into foster. He has made a lot of progress since being in foster. Salt happily mixes with the other girls in the home. He would need to go to a home with at least one happy friendly female dog but is more relaxed with more dogs in the group. This gives him time to sit back at a distance and assess new situations and people, which he would need to have time to do in his forever home to begin with. Salt loves his foster parents esp his foster Dad and races down the fields with him and then sits happily on his lap for hugs at the end of a day. He’s an easy dog to be with; he sleeps quietly downstairs all night with the other dogs, is clean in the house, walks well on a lead if with another confident dog and is easy to handle and groom. In a group he’s happy to take treats off strangers and when settled in his new home is going to be a loyal, affectionate boy. He weighs about 11 kg. Unfortunately he cannot be homed with cats. He would prefer a home with a garden with some grass and will need adopters who are willing to let progress go at his pace and be flexible in their expectations of him.

06-10-24 UPDATE

Hello again everybody …
Even though I had over 260 people like the sound of me from my past post, I haven’t had any applications ?
I am just hear waiting and hoping …
My foster parents think I’m a very special boy.
As a miniature Poodle, I’m just the right size !!! Not too big . Not too small !
I can be a bit shy with new people to begin with, but I soon settle if given time to relax; I just need time and space. I’m a good boy and try really hard to please ..
I love being out helping FD in the fields, I get on fine with all dogs big and small, am clean in the house and would like at least one other female friend to live with and have a garden to play in.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
