If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

25-09-24 Reggie originally came to us from a home as his owner was unwell and couldn't look after him. He was adopted but sadly he is back here with us as he wasn't getting along with the resident dog in his new home. Reggie absolutely loves fuss and attention and really didn't like sharing this with the other dog in his home and so for this reason we feel like he will be best suited to be homed as an only dog. He would like a home with adopters who are around most of the time and who have lots of time to spend with him or will let him accompany them places. We are told that he can suffer with separation anxiety so his adopters will need to be experienced with this and able to help him work through it by building up the time he is left alone. He can be destructive in his separation anxiety so it's vital he is set up for success and when he is left alone is left with toys or frozen kongs etc to keep him occupied. He can walk wall on a lead and we are told that he is house trained too although he may need some reminders in his new home. He is a fun loving boy who is full of beans and very excitable, but he is still just a puppy really! He is fine with other dogs when out and about and would be happy to socialise with them. He is a wonderful boy and in the right home he is going to truly thrive!

29-09-24 UPDATE

Reggie has been returned from his adoptive home recently due to his owner not being able to manage his separation anxiety and not getting along with the resident dog. Reggie originally came to Many Tears back in July this year due to his owners ill health but we were told he has been passed from pillar to post between different homes prior to this.
I’ve taken Reggie back into foster with me after fostering him for a week back in July before getting adopted and will continue fostering him until his perfect home comes along.
Reggie is housetrained, but since being returned from his home, has had a few little accidents. He walks on a lead beautifully and will happily trot along by the side of you!
He really is a little sweetheart, he truly loves nothing more than snuggling up to you, having head tickles and gazing into your eyes as he drifts off to sleep. He’s a cuddle bug, and such a perfect little lap dog.
Reggie does have a lot of energy due to his age and breed - he loves to play fetch, he thoroughly enjoys puzzle toys to keep his mind stimulated, and will do anything for a treat. He loves to show off his tricks - “sit”, “paw”, “lie down” & “roll over”!
Reggie has never had anything permanent, and during his short time in this world, he’s never known a “forever” - which we can now understand where his need to constantly be with his people comes from.
Reggie really is the sweetest little lad who just wants to be loved - and in return he will love you just as much. It breaks my heart how many times in his life he has been let down and disappointed by humans yet he still has a burning desire to always make you aware how loved and wanted you are by him. I really think now it’s Reggie’s time to be wanted, and this time - forever.
