19-07-24 Lux is such a delightful happy boy who you can't help but utterly adore! An absolute bundle of fluff who greets you with a waggy tail, lots of kisses and loves a cuddle. He has come to us from a breeder as an unsold puppy to find his forever family. Lux is such a happy, playful and wiggly little boy who has puppy enthusiasm for everything. He loves to play with other dogs and will happily live with other resident dogs that won't mind a bouncy puppy all over them still learning his manners. He does lose his confidence when away from other dogs so will need to be homed with at least one resident dog. Lux will need an active home with plenty of enrichment, polite socialisation to the world and positive reinforcement training to ensure he grows into a well rounded adult. Lux is currenty being looked at by our vets to examine his hips as he is occassionally not load bearing on his left hind leg and when examined his hips feel "crunchy" we will update asap. Like all puppies he will need help learning new skills such as housetraining and walking on a lead/harness. He can live with dog savy children who are respectful of his needs and will need adopters that can provide regular grooming due to his coat. Lux is such a friendly little boy who will make a great addition to any family.
14-09-24 UPDATE
Little Lux showed some signs of being unwell shortly after his arrival here at the rescue. He went to foster with a member of staff who monitored his closely as he was quite wobbly on his feet and we were worried he could have a neurological issue or a liver shunt. He had bloods tested and was given antibiotics. Lux has hugely improved now and is ready to find his forever home. We may never truly know the reason he was poorly but it could be that he had some kind of infection. He has responded well to antibiotics and our vet feels he is ready to go on to his new home now.
You will be asked to sign a contract confirming you will spay/neuter a puppy and we ask that a puppy attends puppy classes so they can socialise with other dogs and people.
