If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

05-08-24 Lenny is such a happy girl who is so affectionate and a joy to be around, she has come to us from Ukraine via War Paws Rescue.
We were told in Ukraine when someone sat down she would like to jump up and get a few sneaky licks into the ear. Lenny likes to be in your face, licking it! She is the queen of kisses. She is super kind to her less confident kennel friends and plays well int he playyards. She loves human company and attention and will cuddle you for days. Lenny walks on a lead happily and is one who likes a new environment for good sniffs! Lenny is an easy girl and would be a perfect asset to a home! She is easy to handle and would love a home where she could have plenty of attention and enrichment through the day.
Adopters will need to build a bond with her, give her plenty of time to settle and be mindful that she is new to the UK so when out and about may never have seen/heard things we consider normal so will need to be introduced into the big wide world slowly and put in environments she can grow in confidence and flourish. She has never lived in a home before so she will need help learning new skills and given plenty of understanding as she finds her feet.
Lenny enjoys the company of other dogs and currently we'd like her to go to a home with a confident resident dog that is happy to share their home and humans. We will review in a week if she can be an only dog and update. Lenny is such a joy to be around and we cannot wait to see her settle din her forever home having the best life. Lenny has a passport.

Lenny has been tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis, Borrelia, Babesia and Canine Brucellosis while in the Ukraine between 2022-2023 which were negative. Lenny has also been tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis, Borrelia and Canine Brucellosis since her arrival at the rescue using Bionote rapid tests and all were negative. We understand that some vets may have differing policies in regards to imported dogs and may request testing again in 3 months hence why these dogs are by a reduced adoption fee. Our rehoming team can provide futher information on the tests completed if required. We will be retesting the dogs again in 3 months if they have not been adopted by then and are happy for adopters to bring their dogs back to the rescue for testing and will only charge the cost of the tests.

13-08-24 UPDATE

Lenny is a sweet girl who approached me as soon as I walked into the yard. She gave me a few sniffs and allowed me to give her some head scratches and love.
I got the treat packet out and she turned into a super excited bouncy girl. She gently took each treat from my hand and waited patiently for her next. She walks lovely on lead and is currently kennelled with her friend mickey (large male). She could live as both an only dog or with a friendly resident dog. Its unimaginable what these dogs must’ve faced during there time in Ukraine but are now safe, healthy and looking for there forever home.

04-09-24 UPDATE

First time meeting the beautiful Lenny today and what an absolute darling of a girl. When I went up to her kennel she greeted me with a lovely tail and bum wag, I even got a kiss on the hand. Lenny absolutely loves her kennel friends so could be homed with other resident dogs, but then also she could be homed as an only dog who would adore the love and attention once she gets to know you.
I took Lenny out for a stroll today and we met some other animals which were the cats and the horses at the rescue and she was an absolute diamond. She just stared and watched them, no reaction at all and then walked away with me when we had finished walking the area. She walks beautiful on the lead with no pulling, just walking at the same pace as you.
She really is such an amazing lady who would love nothing more than to have her very own loving family in a home.
