23-08-24 Navy is a sweet girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She has arrived with a lump on her shoulder and a possible urine infecton our vet will take a look at. She has some hairloss which is likely to be hormonal and should settle once she is spayed and settled. She is just like a larger sized Cav and is a really lovely poppet. Navy is shy around people but is very easy to handle. She gets on great with other dogs and is much happier when she is with her kennel friends. She will need a kind resident dog in her new homethat will lend her some much needed confidence. When we sit with her for a while she does warm up and will start to give tiny kisses and enjoy a gentle fuss. She will need some kind encouragement to help her settle into home life and some support to learn new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. She is a cav lovers dream girl who will truly shine and love her new way of life very soon.

10-09-24 UPDATE

This was the first time I've properly met Navy, and you can tell from the first meeting that she's a bit nervous, but she will come up to you and let you say hello and give her a fuss. She is a very sweet girl and I can see that she tries so hard to be confident and in time I think that she will gain more confidence around people without the help of her kennel friends. This is why we are advising for her to be adopted with a resident dog, they will help her grow in confidence and make her feel comfortable and provide her with doggy companionship, as well as help her with any training. Navy currently isn't walking on a lead so her new adopters will need to help train her in this, starting off with a harness, this is where her new doggy friend would be a massive help as she'll copy and learn what they do. Navy is a beautiful girl, and would make such an amazing new member of your family, if you think you could give her her forever home, then pop over to the rescue and say hello or complete an application and maybe we can set up a meet and greet, she's such a sweet girl, don't let her be stuck in kennels any longer than she has to be.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
