23-08-24 Amarette is a wonderful Frenchie who has come to us from the Pound.  She has arrived with terrible skin and we will treat this and change her diet to support this too. She will be starting a single protein raw diet and a course of medicated baths and treatments for her. We are very optimistic that we can get her skin much more comfortable soon but she may always need a particular diet and an eye kept on her skin to avoid relapses. Amarette walks well on a lead and is a ray of pure sunshine. Even though she must ne sore she is kind, loving and trusting. This girl gives the BEST kisses! She is great with other dogs but is also confident enough to tbe the only dog in her new home. She really has a beautiful nature and a heart of gold.

Oh where to start with Amarette. I’ve got to say, Amarette has got to be the most FUNNIEST Frenchie I have ever come across. Her passion for life is like no other. She is so resilient. As you can see and read above, she arrived in the most awful way. From sore ears, to the most awful skin condition I’ve ever seen. Amarette has since been on a single diet raw protein, medicated baths, and natural food supplements (including Vitamin C and Echinacea). As a result of this, her skin has improved and her fur has started to blossom through again! She still has a long way to go but she’s on the road to recovery.
Amarette is joy to live around. She ADORES toys (mostly tennis balls!) and loves playing with her humans. Amarette can live with other dogs. She is quite boisterous when she plays so she’ll need to go with a dog who likes to play but also has ‘down’ time. She is definitely more than confident around humans, so could be an only dog if her adopters are around most of the time. Amarette does walk on a lead, but she’s not overly keen on going far, so short walks would suit her better, or even a little dog pram so she can join someone and see the world! Ameratte is only a year old so has a lot of energy to burn off, once she has she will sleep and snore away peacefully.
