29-08-2024 Diamond is a beautiful Akita who has come to us from the pound. We believe she has lived in a home as she walks on a lead and acts like she has been someones pet. She could be house trained but may need a refresher course after spending time in kennels. Here she is kennelled with dogs of a similar size but she would prefer to be homed as an only dog. Although she can happily socialise with dogs on walks, she would not want to share her home with them. We think Diamond is spayed as we can see a scar where this would have been done but can't be 100% sure. However, if she comes into season after adoption her adopters can bring her back and we will spay her free of charge. Diamond also has a laceration on her paw pad which our vets are treating her for.
Diamond matches her name and is really is a diamond of a dog! She is so very sweet, loves a fuss and attention and despite her size she is so very gentle! She is like a giant fluffy marshmallow and is going to be any Akita lovers dream dog! She is very clever and has proved that here by figuring out how to open her kennel door and let herself out to play!! So any home and garden would need to be very secure. Diamond is wonderful so please don't leave her waiting too long, if you can offer her a real forever home please complete her adoption form as soon as possible.

Ohh what a Diamond, Diamond is. She’s absolutely beautiful and has the perfect temperament to go along with it. Diamond has been with us a little while now and deserves to be in a home. We think she would be best suited to being homed as an only dog where she can have all the fuss and attention herself. Diamond is quite food orientated so training her would be easy. She does already know certain commands like ‘sit’, ‘paw’ and she nearly knows ‘lie down’. We believe she may have been in a home before with her already knowing these commands and also she’s pretty clean in her kennel. Diamond walks lead lovely and enjoys being out and exploring. She’s a chilled out girly who loves to be fussed and deserves to be in a home where she will thrive and make the best companion. Let’s not leave this Diamond of a girl waiting too long.
