29-08-2024 Solo is a stunning boy who has arrived here from a breeder.  He is a little nervous but does approach you if you give him a few minutes to settle and if he is with his kennel friends as they boost his confidence.  Solo is a young and gentle collie who we think would be best in a adult only home as children may be a little too much for him. He is going to need an active home where he gets plenty of exercise and where there is at least one other dog who is active and happy to play.  Solo already knows how to walk on a lead but will need to learn about house training.  If you are a collie lover Solo could be just the boy for you so don't delay if you have the perfect home for him and put in your application so he  can be in his new home as soon as possible.  Solo has a PETS travel document.

10-09-24 UPDATE

When you first meet Solo, he comes across as a shy boy that shows his worry in his eyes. But after spending little time with him, he becomes more at ease and shows his loving side. He’ll lower his head and shuffle closer to you. He loves going on walks, and will patiently walk beside you taking in all the sights there is to see. At the moment, I would recommend that Solo be adopted as an only dog as he has become quite amorous towards other dogs currently so Solo tends to be very interested in female dogs, but with the right match, there is a possibility that he could go with another dog. For anyone who loves the collie breed, Solo would be the perfect match. He’s such a gentle soul.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
