30-08-2024  If ever there was a dog that wanted to be loved - it's Zimmy.  She is super sweet and easy going and gazes at you adoringly waiting for you to give her a fuss.  Although we were told she is 5 it's possible she may be a little older but she is a true delight whatever her age.  Zimmy has never lived in a home so this will be very new and a little strange at first.  She will benefit from having another dog or dogs in the home to help guide her about what's expected.  Zimmy will watch them and copy what the do which will help her with house training and lead walking etc.  We will assess her further once she has settled in a bit more to see if she might be able to be an only dog but that would have to be a very special home who truly understands her needs as she has never been without canine company.  Zimmy has a Pets Travel Doc.

06-09-24 UPDATE

Even though Zimmy hasn’t been with us for too long, she has wrapped us all around her paws and we LOVE her!!!! She can still be a timid girl, but as soon as she gets to know you (and it doesn’t take long at all), she really is your best friend. She’s super affectionate and loving and would probably snuggle up to you having fusses all day if she could. I’ve started teaching her how to walk on a harness and she’s doing really well considering we’re such early days. She does get nervous in unfamiliar places or busy areas, but she seeks comfort and reassurance from her human which is absolutely lovely. She’s also not bothered about having other dogs around her, so because of this I do now think she could be homed as an only dog. Her adopters will need to be around most of the time, especially while she’s settling, but I do think she’d make the most perfect companion in the right home. She can also live with older, calmer children, and she has passed her cat test too. Honestly, it’s just impossible not to love her. Please don’t keep her waiting much longer!!

12-09-24 UPDATE
Zimmy has seen our vets to be neutered and she has had a dental at the same time with one tooth removed. She is recovering well.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
