Ivy ^

12-09-24 Ivy is a sweetheart who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She has arrived with severe otitis in both ears and has started medication with our vet. Ivy is a darling dog who is trying her very best to be brave and will slink up to you with a waggy tail but quickly retreats when you approach her. Once in arms she will enjoy a gentle fuss and is full of natural curiosity but is reliant on other dogs at the moment. She doesnt yet walk on a lead but with the support of a kind person who has plenty of patience and a lovely resident dog to lead the way we dont think it will take her very long to learn about this and all about other home skills. She has never lived inside before so will need to learn all about house training and get used to the sights and sounds of home. With a little encouragement and lots of love she will soon get the hang of everything and will love being someones special girl.
23-09-24 UPDATE
Ivy is full to the brim with energy... A three year old that has a puppy feel to her. She is naturally curious, has a waggy tail and acts as though she wants you to come and pet her, but has too much nervous energy going on and will quickly retreat. But if you go slow she will let you approach and pet her.
She is easy to pick up and give some love to, but it's an ongoing process for this little happy princess.
Ivy is always happy to see you and is jumping up at the kennel door, she just needs a quiet surrounding to get to know you and I 100 percent believe she'll be a lap dog giving you loads of affection.
She has the sweetest face and it's telling me she wants to be loved, she just doesn't quite know how, yet. Children 8 and upwards as a guide, should be fine for her, a resident dog that can teach her all the house rules, do's and don'ts.... currently she isn't walking on a lead, so will need to be taught.
Someone with time and patience would be perfect for her to start her new life in a forever home. A secure garden as she is only small, where she can feel safe and relaxed. A real gem here, please get your application in for a beautiful soul waiting to break free from kennels.
26-09-24 UPDATE
Ivy has now been spayed and has recovered well. The vet found she has an ear polyp and has been given some treatment for this.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
