Ila
|
12-09-24 Ila is a lovely girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She has a little hormonal alopaecia that should improve after she is spayed and settled. She carries a lot of worry and will freeze around humans. When picked up she will shake in fear. She is looking for a calm and understanding home with an adopter who is used to helping scared dogs. She will need time and TLC to help her relax and begin to blossom. Ila will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help her settle and show her all about home life and help her learn new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. Ila is a lovely girl who we cant wait to see come out of her shell. She will need time, patience and lots of love.
30-09-24 UPDATE
Ila has been in foster a week now and she’s making excellent progress, we can now stroke her without her shaking and flinching. She doesn't yet approach us but doesn’t run away if we approach her. She’s a sweet natured beautiful girl.
Ila comes alive when we leave the room, she runs around and plays with toys, when we come back she’ll lay in her bed but I’m quite sure that confidence will continue to grow.
Ila is coming along well with toilet training but we are yet to introduce a harness to her, again, I really don’t think it’ll be long.
Ila’s beautiful fur is growing back and she’s going to be a lovely addition to any family.
Ila shows no interest in cats at the moment.
06-10-24 UPDATE
Ila is still learning to trust us but she’s doing well. She’ll take treats from us and we see lots of tail wags and playing now. I can’t believe this lovely girl hasn’t found her forever home yet.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
