26-09-24 - Hickory is a scared puppy who has come to us from her breeder to find his forever home. She has not seen anything of the world before so is feeling a little shy and unsure at the moment and will bury herself in a blanket and try to hide from us when we go to see her. Once she is in your arms she does settle and will begin to relax, she just has no idea at all about love yet. This little girl will need some practice being fussed and as she is so young we hope it wont be too long until she is enjoying it and discovering her puppy side! She will need regular brushing and visits to the groomer. She will need a kind resident dog to lend her some confidence and wont mind a puppy in their home. She will need heaps of socialisation and training to help her become the best she can be and will be so much fun if given the time and patience she needs to begin to bloom and understand the world isnt as bad as she thinks.
You will be asked to sign a contract confirming you will spay/neuter a puppy and we ask that a puppy attends puppy classes so they can socialise with other dogs and people.
ADOPTION DETAILS
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
