11-10-24 Simba is a super handome boy who has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. After a routine health check by the vets, they noticed Simba may have a minimal entropian, but this is being assessed and the vet does not seem too worried. Simba is a very scared boy at the moment who is worried about his new surroundings and quite mistrustful of us. After you spend some time with him, he does warm up to you and so we think in his forever home, once he has settled and started to trust, he will blossom into the most loyal companion. Simba will be looking for an adult only home, where there are no visiting children and will need adopters who are experienced with the breed. He will need another kind and confident resident dog in his new home to be his friend and help him to settle in to his new life. He has never lived in a home before so his adopters will need to be kind and understanding as he settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. He doesn't yet walk on a lead, but this is something we will start working on with him and we think once he is more confident, he will enjoy going for walks so will be looking for an active home. Simba has an injury to his back left paw which our vets wil be assessing.
20-10-24 UPDATE
Simba is a stunning boy and is slowly growing in confidence as the days go on. While Simba is still timid he’s progressing really well with his lead/harness training. Simba loves getting out for a walk. As Simba is slowly settling down with us here now I’m very excited about seeing the progress he’s going to make and what he’s going to be like after coming out of his shell. I know Simba is going to make a fantastic companion for the right special people and will leave them with a smile on their faces every day. Simba is now able to be rehomed as an only dog in the right home.
06-12-24 UPDATE
I am so shocked that Simba is still with us.
He’s come on leaps and bounds since being with us and it truly fills my heart to see.
While Simba is a little reluctant to come over for love and a fuss straight away, his confidence is growing day by day and I know he will be running over for a fuss in no time!
As the previous update on Simba has stated he can be an only dog now which really highlights the growing Simba has done here. Simba is consistently progressing with us and I’m so excited to see him flourish in a comfortable and warm home environment.
Please give this gorgeous boy a chance and I promise you will not regret it.
04-01-25 UPDATE
My darling boy Simba is doing so well and is turning in to the most affectionate, crazy, funny bundle of joy. He is so excited to see me everytime I enter his kennel and always super excited to see the lead, he walks extremely well on the lead right by your side and doesn’t pull at all. He loves going down our big yard where he gets the zoomies and runs and runs with his rescue friend Grace. He can be a bit nervous of loud noises sometimes and his adopters should be aware that when they first meet him he may be quite reserved but after time when he has a bond with you and trusts you then his cheeky side will definitely come out. Simba can be homed with other dogs and in the right home could be an only dog if his adopters were around most of the time to help him settle. He’s extremely foodie and LOVES squeezy cheese, he has also now officially learned sit!!! Words can’t describe how truly awesome this boy is and whoever ends up with him will be extremely lucky! As much as I absolutely love Simba and spending 5 days a week with him is the best.. I can’t wait for the day he is on the adoption schedule as he so deserves a loving home on his own, if I could take this boy myself I would in a heartbeat.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
