04-11-2024 Meet Channel, she is a lovely little lady that has come to us from a home where many dogs were being hoarded and neglected in a small space. Channel is a shy girl but after some time she will approach you and accept fuss as long as you are calm and slow, but she is still very unsure. Channel is showing us that she wants to be loved and is just unsure about human kindness but with time we know she is going to shine so bright. Channel would be best homed with a male  dog who is larger than her.  She has always been around other dogs but gets on better with males and another dog will help her settle into her new forever home and also give her a helping paw with training. We will assess her once she has settled to see if she can be an only dog.
Channel will need to be taught house manners such as toilet training and how to walk on a lead. She will need adopters that are able to give her unlimited time and patience to help her settle in and come out of her shell, she already shows us how much she wants to be loved so we know she won't take long to understand human kindness. Channel will need a home with no visiting children as she will need somewhere calm and quiet to settle and become the beloved family member she is meant to be.

04-12-24 UPDATE

Channel has been with us a few weeks now and is doing well. Considering she was quite nervous when coming to us she has made good progress. She will approach you for a sniff and a fuss if you go slow with her and you can see she’s starting to enjoy having a fuss and is more trusting. Channel is starting to learn harness walking and it has been quite overwhelming for her. However, she is trying her best to take it in her stride and will get there. She would be best suited in a calm environment in an adult only home so she can become the best version of herself in her own time. Another resident dog would be beneficial too her as she’s only ever known being with other dogs and it’ll help her adapt to a new environment with house training etc… With all the love, time and patience channel will become the most sweetest girl.

23-01-25 UPDATE

Channel came to us back in November, she was one of many dogs that came to us from the same home, most of her friends have been adopted but somehow Channel has been overlooked.
She is a very sweet lady, and once you get to know her she absolutely loves you. She enjoys going out for walks and will get very excited, she can be a little reactive at times so will need some training with this.
Channel could potentially be an only dog if the home is a good fit, other than that she could possibly be homed with a larger male, but this would come down to the meet and greet. We feel it's best if there are no children or cats in her new home, just someone who will give her all the love she deserves.
