15-11-24 Baguette is a gorgeous but very scared lady whpo has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She hasnt seen much of the world before and so has a lot to learn and everything feels very overwhelming to her. She isnt confident enough to approach us and will hide away from us. She is tense and scared when we pick her up. She loves to snuggle up in a soft bed with her kennel friends and really doesnt enjoy being on her own. She will need at least one kind resident dog to show her all about home life and be her snuggle buddy. She will need to learn new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. She is so worried that she could be a flight risk so she is looking for a very secure garden with an adopter who understand scared dogs and how to keep her safe with a double harness, not letting her anywhere near an open door etc. She also appears to be a bit of a climber and so will need tall fencing, which she is unable to climb up. She needs some time and TLC but with lots of patience she will begin to relax and love her new way of life. She has a PETS passport travel doc
24-11-2024 UPDATE
This beautiful girl has been in foster for a week, she is a very scared girl who doesn't believe that humans can be kind. Despite her fear she has a gentle nature. She has settled into our routine here and snuggles with the other dogs on the sofa through the day, she doesn't mind if we sit in the other side of the sofa and we will accept a gentle touch but doesn’t understand why. Baguette will need an experienced adopter with a kind dog/s and a secure garden.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
