CONNIE WOULD LIKE TO BE HOMED WITH JOHNNY
15-11-24 Connie is a confident girl who has come to us from a breeder. She comes straight up to you when you enter her kennel and loves to have a fuss and a cuddle. Connie is bonded to her friend, Johnny and they would like to be homed together. Connie already walks on a lead so house training shouldn't take her too long to pick up if she needs to learn and we are told she is used to being around children so we would consider homing her with very dog savvy ones who are 8+ years and sensible around dogs. Connie is an irish setter and this means she is a very active breed, she will need an active home to keep her busy and get all her energy out daily! Connie has a PETs travel document
19-11-24 UPDATE
Johnny and Connie have come into foster with us and even after this very short time it is obvious that as Working Irish Setters, they need a large garden to be able to exercise their very fit and active bodies and minds. Whilst taking a dog for walks a couple of times a day will suit most dogs these two are very fit and active. The ideal scenario would be that they are homed together but could also be homed with a kind resident dog.
I must stress again that these beautiful dogs need lots of space to exercise their bodies and brains. They are the most beautiful pair of setters.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
