If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

19-11-24 Zonkie is a beautiful boy that has come to us from a breeder and does have his PETs travel documents. He is very inquisitive, but is not yet overly confident without the support of his kennel mates, so he would need a kind resident dog that will allow him the comfort and assurance while he settles into his new home. Zonkie has not had the chance to live in a home just yet, so he would need his new family to be understanding as he learns new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. Zonkie would also suit best in a home without children as he can be worried, and will need a kind quiet home to settle into. Zonkie really is an angel and has a very sweet natured personality, he is just needing someone to take a chance on him. He has a PETS passport travel doc.

01-12-24 UPDATE
I have been working with this precious boy for about 2 weeks now and I am just obsessed. For the first couple of days he was a little wary around me, but I could tell from the get go that he wanted to be in my company, he just wasn’t sure how to place himself!
Fast forward to now, he gets SO excited to see me every day and he is one of the cuddliest dogs I’m currently looking after. As soon as I sit on the floor he runs straight over to me and covers me in kisses, whilst having the waggiest tail EVER. He really is such a sweetheart - it’s impossible not to smile when you’re around him. I’m actually very surprised that he hasn’t been snapped up .. I wonder why!?
Because of how much Zonkie’s confidence has improved and how much he loves us humans, I do now think he could be homed as an only dog as long as his adopters were around most of the time. He may be a little timid and overwhelmed when he first gets home, but give him time to settle and decompress in his own way and I don’t think it will take him too long to realise he’s safe. I do think he will want to join his new family on the sofa for snuggles and maybe in the bedroom to sleep at nighttime once he’s settled, so this must be allowed as we wouldn’t want him feeling lonely! He can also be homed with teenagers as long as they are sensible and respectful of his space.
Please don’t keep this lovely man waiting for too much longer. He’s so wasted in kennels!!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
