If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

05-12-24 Cherrish is a gorgeous older boy that has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. He has several teeth missing and our vet needed to remove another one. His ears were compacted with hair have now been cleaned and plucked and he has cataracts in both eyes. He also has a cyst on his leg. Cherrish has a quiet confidence and is very inquisitive but loves to be around his kennel mates and so we think it would be best if he had a kind and relaxed resident dog in the home to seek comfort in as he settles in. Cherrish is very curious and once he warms up to you he will slowly follow you as he likes to watch you from a distance but will happily accept a fuss. Cherrish is an amazing boy but has not had the chance to live in a home just yet, so his new family will need to be kind as learns new skills such as how to walk on a lead and house training. Cherrish would suit best in a quiet and calm home as he settles in. Cherrish really is just a gorgeous boy that is open to learning about his surroundings and is taking his new journey in stride.

28-12-24 UPDATE
I’ve been working with this very special boy for more or less the whole time he’s been at the rescue, and when I say I am completely obsessed … I mean it. He is the sweetest boy I think I’ve ever met and I feel so grateful that I get to look after him every day. He’s as gentle as can be, he’s quiet, he never causes any trouble, and all he ever really asks for is yummy food and cuddles. It seems he hasn’t had the best start to his life, but even still he craves affection and love from us humans.
He can be quite stiff on his back legs when he’s been laying down for a while, and he’s also not very exuberant. He prefers to be cuddled up in bed under a heat lamp rather than running around in the yard.
A calm and quiet home with a gentle resident dog would be a dream come true for Cherrish. As I mentioned above, he really doesn’t ask for a lot, but some cosy beds for him to choose from would be very much appreciated .. as well as a new family who will absolutely dote on him and love him unconditionally for the rest of his life. He really deserves the world and more, so his new home needs to be the perfect retirement home for him and not a smidge less.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
