If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.
04-01-25 This sweet girl is Bella and she has come to us from a home as very sadly one of the resident dogs she was living with, who was much larger than her, attacked her on two separate occasions. Unfortunately for Bella, both of her eyes were ruptured in the attacks and so she has had to have both of them removed. For Bella's safety her owner made the heartbreaking decision to rehome her and so she is now safely with us.
Bella is understandably a little overwhelmed and worried at the moment, but is coping with all this change incredibly well and is settling in well here. She is happy to potter around the home and will toilet outside too. We think Bella would be best as an ONLY DOG, as she understandably can be a little worried around other dogs.
Bella's ideal home will be calm and quiet and with adopters who are around most of the time and will keep her company while also helping her adjust to this new life. She does get quite upset when we leave her, so she would really like to be able to go everywhere with her adopters and not be left too much. She really loves to sit on your lap and human company is what she craves. She is a lovely girl and we would really like to get her in her forever home as soon as possible, so please don't leave her waiting too long.
08-01-2025 UPDATE
Bella has been in foster for only 2 days and her beautiful personality has already began to shine. This girl is so resillient it is absolutely amazing to see. Even though, not too long ago she unfortunately lost her sight completely, she does not let this hold her back. She loves all of the things any normal dog would love - going on walks, belly scratches, playing with toys and being a little cheeky. Bella is such a cuddle bug and once she has mapped out where the couch is at, that is usually where you can find her after a long day! She has been such a refreshing energy to wake up to in the morning, and loves a cuddle and a kiss before its time to get up and ready! Bella is completely house clean and is quick to locate the door so she can sit by it when she is ready to go outside for a potty. Bella would benefit from someone who is home most of the time, and would need to be the ONLY DOG in the home. Bella is so confident and has such a bright personality that you wouldnt even need another dog anyways! Bella does very well on a routine, and hops into one seemlessly. She is so people oriented and aims to please. Bella is so ready for her forever home
