If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

14-11-2022 Sadie was heartbreakingly surrendered after more than 8 years in her home due to her owner's ill health. She was adopted but has very sadly been returned as although she has lived in a home she struggled with house training in her new one.  Sadie has no interest in other dogs at all and would really love to be an only dog but she can live with others - she is just not interested in them.  She would be best in a cat free home.  Sadie is looking for a dedicated owner and much prefers women to men.  She will form a very strong attachment to them but will accept males in the home but not to the same level.
Sadie really doesn't like being left and will pace and bark when alone so will need someone at home with her most and preferably all of the time. She enjoys her walks and is active and spritely for her age.
Sadie suffers from anxiety and has skin problems which may be related to her anxiety.  We are trying her on a raw diet to see if this helps her skin and she is having medicated baths.  She is spayed and chipped but not up to date with vaccinations and this together with her anxiety and skin issues will be discussed in more detail with her adopters.
Sadie needs someone who understands her whole world has been shattered and she will need time to adjust. Regular gentle exercise is needed as she is overweight at the moment but sensible feeding and exercise will soon put that right. She would love a garden to mooch about in.
