If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

04-09-24 This lovely girl is Lady and she has sadly come to us as unfortunately her owner became unwell and can no longer look after them. Although she has been much loved, she did live outside and so her new adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in to home life and learns all about new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. She could be homed with older, dog savvy children and can live with other kind resident dogs.
Lady is a very sweet girl, she is so affectionate and really loves a fuss. She loves to give kisses, especially face kisses! We think she is going to absolutely adore being someones special girl and whoever adopts her is going to fall completely in love with her. She has a lump which our vet will check out and is also currently being treated for a ear infection in both ears.
Lady does have advanced cataracts in both eyes and so we would be looking to refer her to a specialist unless there was a very special adopter out there who would be willing to take this on and cover the cost of any treatment or surgery needed,

10-09-24 UPDATE
Lady has well and truly found her feet since she arrived and has blossomed into the most loving, angelic, affectionate little girl who has stolen the hearts of every staff member here. As soon as you sit down, she just wants to be on your lap giving you kisses. She would be the perfect companion dog for someone who is looking for a best friend they can take everywhere!! Lady can now be homed as an only dog as her love for humans outweighs everything else. Her adopters would need to be home with her most of the time though, and also share the sofa and the bedroom with her without question. She can also be homed with older, dog savvy children who won’t mind her jumping up when she gets excited. She had a bath today with one of our lovely volunteers and she was such a good girl from the get go. There’s really not a bad word to say about her!! I just hope she doesn’t have to wait long to find her perfect forever home.

13-09-24 UPDATE
Lady has now had her mammary lump removed and has also needed two teeth to be removed by the vet. She also has some inflamation in her ears so has started steroids for this.

03-10-24 UPDATE

I met Lady for the first time today and as her previous write up states, she is an adorable pooch. She is super affectionate and people oriented, and with her smiley face and adorable personality, it’s hard not to love her!
A girl like her is just waiting for kind humans, a comfy sofa and a few little adventures. She gets on with other dogs but would also be fine being the only dog as she just loves being around people so much. As she’s so friendly, children that are used to dogs would be ok, but she does like to get up close hence why children that are comfortable with dogs, from age 7 and up would be best. Lady walks on a lead although can take a little coaxing at times, she isn’t up for a marathon any time soon! Honestly this lovely dog will make someone a super little companion.

08-10-24 UPDATE
Lady has moved to a foster home and will be referred for an assesment with a specialist vets to see if anything can be done to help her vision and we will update further after her appointment.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
