Cookie’s Story:
Cookie was rescued in March 2024. When she arrived, Cookie was underweight, shut down and very fearful of being touched. She had abscesses and overgrown teeth which were causing her tremendous pain. She was seen by the vet, dentist and farrier, and put on a feeding plan to help her gain weight.
Once her health was back on track, it was time to start working on her confidence. With time, patience and lots of love, Cookie has become a confident, calm and loving pony. She needs a bit of time to get to know you, but once she trusts you she loves a good groom and a cuddle, and will follow you anywhere. She is fabulous with our Kids Clubs, and her gentle nature means she is perfect for teaching young people.
Cookie still flinches at sudden movements and loud noises, but we are persevering with her desensitising training and with the help of a few treats, she grows in confidence more and more every day.
Cookie Crumble's Wish List:
Salt lick to provide extra minerals to her diet
Desensitising equipment to help with her fears
