Meet Lucky Friday & Truffle

Lucky Friday & Truffle’s Story: 

Friday and Truffle’s mums were rescued with a group of donkeys, and were pregnant when they arrived with us.

Friday was born in July 2023 to his mum Jessie. His birth was complicated, and Jessie had to spend some time at the vet’s for emergency care. Thankfully, she made a full recovery, and in honour of his lucky start, he has been named Lucky Friday! Friday is confident, bold and full of energy. He absolutely love jumping, and if there’s a jump set up in the round pen or sand school, Friday will launch himself over it just for fun, no encouragement needed. Friday loves to chew anything he can find, and even loves to grab hold of the lead rope and walk himself!

Truffle was born in September 2023 to his mum Aubrey, and him and Friday have been like brothers ever since! Truffle is an absolute sweetheart who lives for attention. If you’re offering chest scratches or cuddles, he’ll be your best friend in no time. Truffle especially loves jumping over the crocodile in the sand school! Truffle is not the biggest fan of having his feet trimmed and has been known to throw in a little kick, but we’re working on that with patience (and a very understanding farrier!).
