Kenny’s Story:
Kenny’s journey began at a local horse market when he was just five months old. That day, over 70 other Miniature Shetlands were sold, and Kenny was one of the last left, eventually bought for just £4 at the very end of the sale.
Kenny has now been at the rescue for over 18 years, and has become a true icon! He may have started out as a spoiled (and far too cute to discipline) youngster, but has become a friend, guide and support for so many over the years – both human and equine.
Now, Kenny lives with our herd of Shetland ponies, where they groom, graze and play together. Kenny loves to jump, and gets very excited whenever the poles come out, and loves to hop up onto the bridge in the sand school. He also helps out with our Kids Clubs, though his mischievous side does keep the kids on their toes, as he does have a habit of pulling for the grass!
Kenny does have a few health issues, but with careful management and various herbs and supplements, he is doing very well, thriving and full of life!

Kenny's Wish List:
Milk thistle – to support his liver
Respiratory support herbs – to support his breathing
Monty Roberts head collar – so that kids can lead him without him pulling for the grass!
